On September 13th, we opened up Grove Kids in-person for the first time since March. In this first step we have taken, toddlers through 3rd graders be checked in at the station in the foyer. They will worship together with their families, and after worship they will be dismissed to meet the volunteers in the back of the auditorium. The kids will go to the playground and watch their Bible lesson on a TV outside, then be able to play for the remainder of service. Parents will pick up their kids on the playground after service. In the case of inclement weather, the Grove Kids will meet in the fellowship hall. Due to COVID precautions, our volunteers will not be able to assist children in the restroom or change diapers. A volunteer will alert you if needed to help your child with these tasks. We will be providing drinks but not snacks.
4th and 5th grade students will remain in service with their parents, and will get to choose a candy bar after service for working on their activity sheet.
We are excited for this first step forward in meeting family's needs during service. We will be monitoring numbers of children in attendance and will adapt as needed.
If your family is staying home and would like to receive digital copies of the children's curriculum, please contact Hannah to be included on the weekly distribution email.
